I am in temporary retirement but I get requests every day from patients who need a hernia repair but do not want mesh. It seems their options are limited. I suspect there are many surgeons who do non-mesh hernia repair but do not make it publicly known. These are the ones who I know of who are qualified and experienced. These kinds of surgeons are not widely available so it is more than likely you will have to travel. I would like to add to this list so I am open to recommendations. I will not list surgeons who I think may be lacking in character such as those who refuse to take care of patients previously operated on by another surgeon. This is a selfish act and is not putting the patient first.
