How can you test yourself for a hernia?

We advise against self diagnosis. We can tell you what should raise your concern that you may have a hernia. A medically accurate and safe diagnosis can only be made in consultation with a physician. The most common symptom of a hernia is a bulge in the groin or the belly button. These are the two most common sites where hernias occur. However, other more serious conditions can produce bulges in these areas.
