Medical glue

Can you repair an injury with glue applied to wet tissue?

Some skin injuries can be repaired without sutures. Steri-strips (tape) and Dermabond (superglue) have been used on minor skin lacerations. Fibrin glues have been tried on deeper injuries but does not work. Welding tissue with lasers has been tried but does not work. Even velcro has been tried. Nothing beats good old fashioned sutures for repairing an injury to soft tissue.
